The big renovation: the bathroom

One of the bigger projects I wanted to achieve this vacation was the bathroom. This was a typical 1970’s bathroom that appeared to be modern back in the days…..what the hell were we thinking in the 70’s? Pink tubs and sinks?

So, look at the photo of the bathroom. I’m sure you understand the need for a big makeover…this place is just fuckly, that’s the only right word for it…

So I started removing the bathrub the sink, the cabinets and the toilet after which I stripped the walls and the floor which took me two days:

From there on I needed to start building up again; add a new drain and new waterlines for the bathtub and toilet, add a base for a hanging toilet, pour a new floor and treat the walls to even out the uneven parts.

The base for the new toilet:

The new tiles on the floor and the new bathtub

Working on the wall tiles

After three weeks the project was finished. Total cost was 4000 Euro but, every penny worth it.
