So today I am removing the big chimney on the roof. I don’t like indoor fire places. Yes, it’s romantic to have nice fire, but the dirt and the black ceiling is something I really hate. So the plan is to remove the chimney on the roof, than the indoor fireplace. Of course when you remove the chimney, you end up with an opening in the roof, so I had to extend the trusses, add some cross beams and than add new roof tiles. Piece of cake…NOT. The amount of stones coming from the chimney is just imaginable.

And you see that I now have to add cross beams for the new roof tiles…and voila…..chimney removed and the opening closed 🙂

Tomorrow will be a day of demolishing the indoor fire place…more to come my friends.
