Back in 2013 we had a 50 mile race scheduled. Due to the weather though, it got canceled one day prior to the race.

Nevada, or at least the city of Las Vegas, has a rule that if the temperature exceeds 115F for several days in a row, outdoor events like running events get cancelled. And thus also this race.

I was so disappointed, as I like running in this brutal heat, that I decided to go for it after all, without this being an organized race.
