Qaqortoq is a town in southern Greenland, set within a system of fjords. The town center is home to 18th-century colonial buildings and a landmark fountain. Qaqortoq Museum features displays about Greenlandic culture. From Lake Tasersuaq, trails lead through rugged mountains to the old Norse settlement of Igaliku.

Qaqortoc is a tender port but the ride is totally worth it, as you have a great view of the colorful houses when you approach the harbor.
The town itself is very cute and has lots of old quaint buildings from centuries ago and it is worth it to walk around the area. At the end of the village, about half a mile from the tender dock, is a lake, lake Tasersuaq and if you are interested in hiking or running, you can go around the entire lake which is a 7-mile loop. Not an easy hike, as the trail has a lot of rocks and tons of mud, but it is definitely worth it.
