Winning photos

A few years ago I won the first prize in a photo competition of the national parks in the USA. I’m proud to show the winning photos.

This photo was taken in Ketchikan, in the early morning which you can see because of the colored seaweed in the background. When the sun rises, the weeds have this phenomenal golden color and with the eagle in the foreground, it makes a perfect shot.
This was a great moment when the bear grabbed the salmon and sat down to enjoy his seafood lunch.
A great capture of this eagle just a split second before grabbing his fish out of the water.
After a rain shower, I went outside to try to capture this moment – it took me 2 hours and almost 200 images to get this one finally sharp and to see the reflection of the daisies in this raindrop.
