One of the biggest projects was the living room; rip out the floor, close the underground heating holes with building rubbish, put in a new floor, close the opening where the old door to the kitchen was, demolish the old fire place, paint the damn room, add furniture etc.
This was not an easy task, however, very satisfying to do. The plan was to create a very warm, country style looking living room which at the end, did work out very well.
Here are the befores, mids, and afters

As you can see, I closed the open puts with rubbish, after which I poured concrete

and the same area 3 months later

On the wall by the white door, I added stones on the wall to give an extra country-style feeling. Here’s what it looked like. Still had to add the grouting and finish the wainscoting though

and here’s the final result

Started to add wainscoting against the wall where the old fire place was

and this is the progress

Wow, what a job, that wasn’t easy, but as mentioned, very satisfying to see the progress….
More to come my friends
