Today started off rainy but by 10:00 am the rain turned into a minor drizzle and thus a great opportunity to run over to Portage glacier.
I went together with the shore excursion manager who also happened to be a excellent runner.
This was our first week in Whittier, as this is only the beginning of the Alaska season for us and so early in the season, there is still too much snow covering the trails and therefore it’s very hard to see which way to go, and so, we ran to the top of the trail and went a few miles downhill on the other side. Than we couldn’t see any trails and thus we turned around. We will have to wait another 6 weeks or so till the snow has melted and we can see where we go. All in all a nice run
