In my other house I had a garden that I really didn’t like. There was nothing attractive to it. I bought the house a few years and two years ago I decided to redo the whole thing.
Here’s what it looked like

So, time for a makeover. I decided to make a path in the middle of the garden, than remove the entire lawn as it was so uneven, level it and start all over again with new grass seeds.
At the end of the garden I wanted to make a outdoor entertainment area including a tiled floor, a wooden structure big enough for a table and a grill, and I wanted to build a fire place.
The first thing I did was digging out the top soil for the new patio

After that, I set out the parameters for the patio, added some poles and planks to for a rectangle shape and than I started leveling it

Than I used a machine to compact the soil

After that was done, I had to start digging in the poles for the wooden structure

I filled the holes with concrete and let the concrete dry for two days.
After the concrete dried, I started to add some wooden beams

I let it sit there for a few days. Since I rented a skid for the rubbish, I needed to first collect all the rubbish from the garden in order to fill up the skid.
So I continued marking the lines the path after which I had to dig out part of the top soil.

You can see the amount of rubbish which came out of the garden…

after digging it out, I added a layer of send and cement, than compacted the sand with a compactor machine

Than I added the stones

Than I added a concrete slab for the fireplace as this was going to be a very heavy construction

The cement had to dry for at least two weeks and so I continued with the tiles on the patio

and things start to get together

than I removed the soil, leveled it out and planted new grass

Than I started to build the fireplace

And the end result:

so we went from this

to this
