On September 24, 2023 I ran the Nieuwpoort marathon. Nieuwpoort is a coastal town close to the French-Belgian border. Although this town has fantastic boardwalks and boulevards, the marathon actually didn’t follow the coastline but the course actually took us away from the ocean.
