On September 24, 2023 I ran the Nieuwpoort marathon. Nieuwpoort is a coastal town close to the French-Belgian border.

Although this town has fantastic boardwalks and boulevards, the marathon actually didn’t follow the coastline but the course actually took us away from the ocean. Unfortunate, but ok, it is what it is…At least the weather was great, although there was a lot of wind on the 2nd part of the course. It was a tough run today; obviously I was still recovering from a 32-mile run that I did three days earlier, so my timing at the marathon was crap to say the least, but at least I got some mileage in as preparation for the Jordan race. During the run I took some video footage which I combined in the following video.
